Michael Coats

Michael H. Coats, 60, of Ohio City, Ohio, formerly of Rockford, Ohio, died Wednesday night, July 11, 2018, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio, where he was a patient.  He was born April 24, 1958, in Celina, Ohio, to Howard and Joan (Waldron) Coats, both who survive in Sebring, Florida.  Mike was a graduate of the Celina High School Class of 1977.  On April 27, 1985, he married Sheryl Kline, and she survives in Ohio City.  Mike had been employed by the Village of Rockford on street and water maintenance for several years.  Mike enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite teams, the Buckeyes and the Chicago Bears.  He loved his family—Sheryl and his two children, Shelby Coats of Ohio City, and Zachary Coats, also of Ohio City.  Surviving in addition to Sheryl, Shelby, and Zach, are a brother, Doug Coats, and two sisters:  Tammy (Terry) Ault and Cathy Schreima.
