K. Rosalie Farmer, 92, of Rockford, Ohio, died at 4:35 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford. She was born June 6, 1917 in Blackcreek Township, Rockford, Ohio, to John M. and Grace (Stober) Williams. On November 20, 1940, she married Ed Farmer, who preceded her in death on May 31, 2000. Surviving are two sons: John (Judy) Farmer and Roderick (Yvonne) Farmer, both of Rockford; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Deceased are four sisters: Virginia Walker, Jessie Berger, Lois Eckhart, and Gretchen Webb. She was a school teacher for thirty years, teaching at the Frysinger School and the Rockford School. She was a member of the Olive Branch Church of God and the Women's Christian Service Club. She was also a member of the Mercer County Retired Teachers Association and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, with Pastor Steve Waterman officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Calling is Thursday May 6 from 2-8 p.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorials may be directed to Olive Branch Church of God. [photosmash id=6]
