Estella Dailey

Estella Rose Dailey, 80, of Celina, Ohio, formerly of Rockford, died Friday, January 29, 2010, at 7:14 am at the Gardens at Celina, where she had been a patient. She was born July 29, 1929, in Decatur, Indiana, to Roy and Irene (Liby) French. On July 26, 1947, she married Ralph Dailey, who preceded in death on November 5, 1990. She was a homemaker and enjoyed life, and her garden, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church, now the Rockford United Methodist Church. She was a 1947 graduate of Rockford High School, a life member of the Rockford American Legion Auxillary, Post # 508 and a member of the Celina Eagles Auxillary. Surviving are three sons: Mark Dailey, at home, Robert (Betty) Dailey of Rockford, and Dennis (Cindy) Dailey of Van Wert, Ohio. Two daughters survive: Sandra Dailey of Celina, Ohio, and Debra (Phil) Rigano of St. Louis, Missouri. Also surviving are dear friends Lisa and Andrew Sneddon of Celina, Ohio. Ten grandchildren survive, along with 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Alden and Mary Girod and two brothers, Ervin and Harold French. Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-8 pm and on Monday, 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to her son Mark Dailey or to the Rockford United Methodist Church.
